Are you interested in a coloring book on magical creatures and its explanatory application?
Take a look at our Ulule campaign!
We are launching our own book through crowdfunding, but what is it?
It is a method of financing a project through the help of the community.
- First, you choose a pack (book, goodies) or you can even make a donation (minimum 1 euro);
- Then, each promise to sell increases our pool.
If the pot reaches 100% after one month, the sale is unlocked, you will be charged your amount and will receive your pack/goodies.
It is therefore a book sale based on mutual aid and only working if everyone invests a little in it, even one euro is enough!
The most important thing is that we reach 100% otherwise we will receive absolutely nothing of the accumulated money ...
So each help is welcome, each according to his means.

Posted by Pierre on 07/01/2020
Here is a new year ahead! Alcolit has managed to limit the consumption of some of you to allow you to better enjoy the festivities.
We too have decided to take on new challenges this year. Good resolutions…
We thought that this year would be a year of renewal. We will try to produce even more applications and we are renewing the experience of the fundraising campaign.
Will we be able to keep our commitments? Follow us on the networks and stay on the lookout because explosive news may show up!

Happy birthday Cédric
Posted by Simon and Pierre on 11/25/2019
After the anniversary of Barracud'Apps, here comes that of Cédric, the developer of the team who works mainly in the library. A bibliopper therefore, but I get lost. Happy Birthday! Simon
This computer science student has been putting into practice what he learns in class directly within our applications for several months. We save considerable time thanks to its integration of Flutter and Firebase!
For these months of hard work and your active participation in each of the projects published by the company, I have the honor to wish you an excellent birthday on behalf of the team! Pierre

Happy birthday Barracud'Apps
Posted by the Team on 11/21/2019
A year ago began our adventures in mobile development. 12 months. 52 weeks. 365 days. 8,760 hours. 525,600 minutes. 31,536,000 seconds…
We were behind in development. A little. Many …
We have developed more applications than expected. A little. Many… 5 in total are available and 3 are in development at the moment.
We ate speculoos. A little. Many …
We have experienced moments of stress. A little. Many …
We have changed our plans. A little. Many …
Because these lines have no meaning if they are not read, I want to thank each of the visitors of this site, each user of application, each person who supported Barracud'Apps from near or far because it is thanks to you if we are there today. It is thanks to you that we have the strength to develop these applications. And for that, because every second of this past year has been dedicated to you, we thank you 31,536,000 times.
Thanks to this company I lived an incredible year.
A difficult year. A little. Many …
A year of meetings. A little. Many …
A year of discovery. A little. Many …
But above all, a very rich year! Pierre
5 apps on the stores, 3 in development, 13 videos (and 139 waiting to be filmed), 50 YouTubers partners and above all, above all, 26,735,930 speculoos swallowed up by 4 employees who work every day with joy and good humor , here are the figures to sum up the most important: 1 year! Happy birthday Barracud'Apps! Alexia
For the anniversary of Barracud'Apps, we decided to think big: speculoos, hot water (for tea), and chicken-cashew rice from Thursday to local Thai.
It must be said that it is quite exotic and the return to reality may be brutal, meanwhile we are all very happy! Simon

Trade on Tubes is out!
Posted by Simon on 10/18/2019
Trade-on-Tubes, Barracud'Apps flagship application, is finally available!
After months of development and unexpected events that are particularly difficult to manage (special mention to Google), we can announce its release on the Google Play Store and the AppStore.
Through the app, our goal is to introduce as many people as possible to the world of trading, while highlighting YouTubers young and old!
Concretely, each participating YouTube channel has a fictitious value which varies in real time according to certain parameters, notably its popularity and its growth rate.
It is on this value that you will be able to bet as an apprentice trader; use your virtual currency to buy stocks and sell them at the right time for maximum profit!

Our Adventures against the giant Google
Posted by Alexia on 09/16/2019
Who would have thought that it would be more tedious to put an application on the blinds than to create it? Not us anyway, but Google quickly put our feet back on the ground…
You should know that before being available, each application offered on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store is checked by them to avoid any unwanted content and / or not meeting the criteria imposed. It takes time because it often takes a few days to receive an answer, and Pierre has already torn his hair out from having to answer the same questionnaire several times in a row. But if Apple is rather the type to be picky on details for the next day to accept the application which has not changed, Google does not go there by four ways: if they do not like it, it is the banishment and then that's all.
We had just offered Franc-Breton, a French-Breton translation application, on the Google Play Store when Pierre realized with horror that we no longer had any of our apps on this store, and that an email confirmed the worst: we were banished because of 'violation of development policies'. No other explanation being provided, it is impossible to know which application is affected, also impossible to change it since our account is deleted. At Google, no warnings, no chance to settle the problem in an update, and too bad for those who live on their applications. We learned about various forums, the bell was always the same with banned developers: no explanation, impossible to create a new account, and when you are banned, it's for life.
Suffice to say that we were desperate, especially since Franc-Breton coding as Franc-Wallon, we did not understand why one had been accepted and the other ousted in this way (we assume that it is this last application that poses problem, even if we will never know). Pierre played the only card made available by Google, a small complaint questionnaire, hoping to have an answer (but within 72 hours as Google specifies).
Fortunately for us, we quickly (!) Received a response from the giant apologizing for the ban, ultimately involuntary, and everything went back to normal. Phew. But we are very few in this case, and our thoughts go to all these poor developers who will never again be able to benefit from the Google Play Store to sell their apps, in other words: all those who will no longer be able to put their apps on Android, since the any power of Google in this market crushes the competition and in the process many careers.

Alcolit - Apple makes its own
Posted by Pierre on 09/06/2019
We thought we were done with the whims of the multinational apple, and yet ...
This Thursday, I decided to update the application to integrate advertisements (yes, we need to generate a minimum of income!), Add a few drinks and fix some bugs. The testing phase takes place at best on the company's devices. I update the Android version (almost instant update, without checks). I update the application of the store on our devices ... Everything turns like a Swiss watch. Creation of the new version for Apple, tests, sending to the Apple App Store (daily update with human verification). Update on our devices… black screen! The updates are obviously not checked…
This Friday, I decide to recreate a version of the application. I send it to Apple. Around 9 p.m., a notification wakes up the screen of one of the devices in the box: verification in progress ... usual procedure. It is 9:30 pm, new notification: refusal to update… cause: black screen!
I accept this decision. It is consistent. The application no longer runs. But… in this case, why was the previous version with black screen accepted? Mystery!
Result: we are the weekend (more updates possible, people go out for a drink on the terrace in good weather) and the application does not run if the update has been made… Cross our fingers so that we solve this bug for monday.
P.S .: They stay faster than YouTube in email exchanges…

Mensura - Company visit
Posted by Pierre on 09/04/2019
Yes, you have to go there ... Today we had the visit of a Mensura advisor within our premises. Mensura is a non-profit organization which ensures the safety of workers by doing prevention within companies.
We therefore discussed at length the arrangements necessary for the well-being of workers. An enriching discussion full of surprises. Alexia who crosses her legs doubly, finished, Simon who raises her keyboard, finished. I'm used to working on my laptop, finished. And all of us who curl up in our seats at the end of the day, finished. To remind us of our good posture, Phil Collins watches over us from the top of his wall ...
